Practice Philosophy
- The patient and family should
be absolutely convinced that the type of operation
discussed is the correct choice. Also, the patient
should be convinced that the operation is more likely
to help him or her than to cause harm.
- The patient and family should
have absolute confidence in their surgeon in that
he or she will be safe, do a good job, and see the
patient as a fellow human being.
Until these two criteria are met, then the patient
and family are urged to get second opinions prior to
scheduling surgery.
